Real Courage

I ran across this quote in a couple of different resources while preparing Sunday’s message. It didn’t fit with that lesson, but I thought it was worth passing on, as a reminder that having faith does not mean we are exempt from challenging emotions –

“Real Courage means being perfectly aware that the worst thing can happen, being sickeningly afraid of it, and yet doing the right thing.” – William Barclay

    Great quote. I think that’s right on target. Not all fear keeps company with courage, but all courage keeps company with fear.
