Cusco Mission Team

November 20, 2009

I’ve been trying to include links and info about various mission efforts on this blog, and there is one mission team that just recently got started in country. I went to school with everyone on the team, and I am really excited to see what God will do through them. Matt and Charla Cook, Barton and Allison Kizer, and Gary and Jennifer Reaves make up the team, and they are going to do an incredible job. They have been training for quite some time to plant a congregation in Cusco, Peru. They recently completed their time with Continent of Great Cities in Texas, as well as their residencies with their overseeing congegations.

I am including links to the Cooks’ and Kizers’ blogs. Check them out and see what is going on as they are getting settled in and starting the new work!

I’m glad to have these links. God seems to be working in Peru. For years we had little missionary presence; now 3 teams have gone in the last year or so.

When I was at the Baxter Institute last year, I met some Christians from Cusco. These guys will have some good people to work with there.

    Grace and peace,
    Tim Archer

Tim – Yes, I have enjoyed learning about the different things going on in Peru. I know the Continent of Great Cities team in Lima helped these guys get Visa issues handled, etc. in country. It is awesome to see Christians work together.
By the way, my wife’s parents go to Baxter about once a year – their congregation supports a few of the guys there. It seems like they are doing a lot of good!

Thanks for the support Andrew. We’re doing well, and we’ve been really blessed in Cusco. Hope you’re doing well and can stay in touch.
